Greg Whiteman is a multifaceted artist living in the Oxfordshire countryside. Including three areas of outstanding natural beauty from the Cotswolds to the open chalk hills of the North Wessex Downs and wooded hills of the Chilterns not to mention the City of Spires – Oxford, it’s an inspiring place to be.
From a very early age and throughout his school years Greg had shown a talent for artistic creativity.
Later studying illustration and visual communication courses at UEL Greg received an honours degree before spending time illustrating.
East London born Greg then went on to teach art, specialising in teaching children with special and behaviour needs. Whilst teaching he continued to produce art for himself, friends and family.
After many years of teaching Greg is now focussing his time on his artistic career in his Oxfordshire studio. His passion is portraiture and wildlife art but is also known for his automotive and custom artwork as well as digital art and illustration.
Working predominantly on textured gessoed boards Greg prefers to use acrylic paint for its bright and vivid range of colours.
Greg’s work is unique mix of realistic painting combined with his background in illustration and design to create both graphical yet traditional and textural imagery of a range of subjects.
Please feel free to contact Greg about commissioning an artwork. He is happy to provide a free no obligation quotation upon receipt of a brief or photograph of what your vision is.
